WHAT PAST GUESTS ARE SAYING ABOUT LITTLE DUTCH . . .
Captain Missy and Little Dutch were beyond our expectations. We wanted to do something special for our first year wedding anniversary and this was perfect! The Whitby 42 sailboat was super comfortable and seaworthy – and pretty as a picture. Our stay aboard was relaxing and fun with just the right amount of activities mixed with solitary time. The meals were perfect – simple and absolutely satisfying. Her crew and galley mate Kendall was the perfect addition. Captain Missy is a knowledgeable, capable and responsible skipper as well as fun and a wonderful host – full of endless stories from her sailing adventures like crossing the Atlantic Ocean! We also LOVED that she is a female captain. We hope future guests heed our advice and get aboard because I know it will an incredible experience that they will love! We highly recommend Little Dutch Sailing Charters.

Our family had wanted to go out for a sail out of East Hampton but couldn’t find the appropriate sailboat and captain that was the right fit and not too expensive. Little Dutch and Captain Missy fit the bill. Sailing over to Shelter Island and anchoring in Coecles Harbor for lunch and a swim were great for both the adults as well as the kids. Captain Missy was such a great host, great with the kids along with being a dynamite captain and handled the boat in such a relaxed, secured fashion.
This is our second season going out on Little Dutch – and we went TWICE last year! And we will be seeing her again we’re sure.

Two thumbs up for Little Dutch Sailing Charters! The boat is beautiful, clean, and spacious. Captain Missy is also gracious and great fun, as well as being an excellent captain and knowledgeable about Long Island’s history and eco system. Spacious and gracious – the perfect combo for a perfect day, sailing out of the harbor and into Gardiners Bay, then over to Shelter Island for a swim and picnic. We were happy to bring our own food as everyone got what they wanted and it just made it easier all around. Really great value and better than waiting for a table in town for lunch after the beach. We had a marvelous time and look forward to doing it annually!

Our week onboard Little Ducth was a dream. Safe and sound and fun and super relaxing. Loved crew Kendall and all the yummy meals and snacks. The Continental breakfasts were just right and all other meals delightfully satisfying. We had our own private cabin with en suite bathroom and loved the separate companionway to our aft quarters.
Was nice break to dinghy-in to shore for shopping and a couple of dinners out. Captain Missy made us feel so comfortable and at home . . real “B and B at sea”. And the price was right! We looked at other charters – most too far from NYC – and they wanted to charge extra for both food and the captain. We couldn’t have found a hotel along with meals for Little Dutch’s price – not to mention ON the water and such breathtaking views and quiet. Would recommend LD highly!

LOVELY! Sailing to Block Island and adventuring on shore there via bikes and mopeds was a blast. Beautiful island. Little Dutch was a great, comfortable vessel. Loved sitting up on the bow while underway. Captain Missy was so accommodating and fun and made us feel so welcome and safe. Loved how she let us take the helm too and work the sails. The cabins were comfy and there’s nothing like sleeping onboard a boat at anchor. Loved sailing around Shelter Island and visiting Greenport . . . a sweet old maritime village. We loved grilling out on the stern and eating both below in the sweet cabin as well as up topside under the stars. So peaceful and special. Captain Missy and her Whitby 42 Little Dutch are real find and a real deal.
